The Tarka Trail
As well as the sandy beaches, North
Devon has a fantastic craggy coastline and the Exmoor National Park. Even in
the quieter winter months you can walk along the spectacular and rocky
heather-covered cliffs and perhaps stop at an old North Devon pub for
refreshment on the way. The Fortescue Arms is the ideal base
linking you to spectacular North Devon coastline areas including Woolacombe,
Mortehoe, Ilfracombe, Croyde and Combe Martin, as well as the stunning
expanse of Exmoor. There is many excellent areas and paths for walking,
riding, cycling and many outdoor pursuits such as surfing, canoeing,
fishing, hang gliding, rock climbing and water skiing.
